2008 (sophomore): Appeared in 11 matches and 24 sets for the Ospreys... had her first career dig against Mercer (11/7)... first career ace came against Winston-Salem State (11/22).

2008 (spring, freshman): Joined the Ospreys following an open try-out in the spring of 2008... practiced with the team during the spring training session, but did not compete in any tournaments.

High School: Was a three-year letterwinner for coach Troy White at Palm Bay High School in Malabar, Fla.… was an All-Space Coast Conference selection as a senior defensive specialist/libero… helped lead her team to a district championship victory her junior year over Vero Beach with 36 digs… was named her team’s most valuable player as a senior… was named to the all-star senior team… also played softball as a freshman and sophomore.

Personal: Born Oct. 19, 1989, in Cotati, Calif.… daughter of Cindy and Kevin Amara… has two younger sisters, Jessie and Grace… played club volleyball for three years with the South Brevard Spirit for coach Bonnie Priester.
