2010-11: Named 2010-11 All-Academic Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association…Competed in every meet for the Ospreys on the year…Posted the top two performances of the season for the Ospreys in the 100 butterfly and the 200 butterfly…Recorded season bests in the 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 100 butterfly and 200 butterfly at the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association Championships, while recording top times on the year in the 50 freestyle and 500 freestyle against Florida Gulf Coast.
2009-10: Competed in every meet for the Ospreys on the year…Posted a top 16 time in the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association for the 2009-10 season in the 100 butterfly (57.67)…Recorded two of UNF’s top 10 performances in the 100 butterfly in school history…Recorded season bests in the 100 butterfly and the 500 freestyle at the CCSA Championships while posting a season best in the 200 individual medley at the Daytona State / Florida Atlantic tri-meet.
High School: Swam at McArthur High School in Hollywood, Fla.…Was a two-time USA Swimming Academic All-American (2007, 2008)…McArthur High School Most Valuable Player for the swim team (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008)…3A State Swim Meet Finalist – 100 fly (2008), District Swim Meet Winner – 100 fly and 200 IM (2008), and Regional Winner – 200 IM (2008)…Honorable Mention All-District in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008…Set a personal best in the 100 fly with a 58.05 and the 200 IM with a 2:11.48 at the 2008 FG FHSAA-3A Region 4 Meet.
Personal: Full name is Caylin Faith Drews…Daughter of John and Kelly Drews…Has a younger sister, Kelby…Comes from a very athletic family: Her father John played baseball and football at Florida state; grandfather Karl played Major League Baseball for the New York Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies; uncle Ron played baseball and basketball at Old Dominion; uncle Mike swam at Auburn; uncle John Couric was on the George Washington water polo team; uncle Copeland Couric swam at Broward Community College; and cousin Brett Garrison swam at NYU…Her cousin Scott Drews currently swims at the University of Texas…Born on April 16, 1991, in Hollywood, Fla.…Had a 4.8 GPA in high school ranking first out of 516 students, representing her class as valedictorian…Member of Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society and Junior Academy of Science…Majoring in biology with a concentration in biomedical sciences.
