As a freshman, 2007: Played in one of the Lady Ospreys 20 games … made her Lady Osprey debut in UNF’s 2-0 victory over Campbell on Oct. 20.
High School: 2007 graduate of Plantation High School... played for Kristen Rine for four years in central midfield... helped the Colonels to the state finals in 2005 and semifinals in 2007... member of the 2007 Broward County All-Star Senior team... sustained a season ending ACL injury her junior year, limiting her to two goals and two assists... scored the game winning goal in the 2005 state semifinals vs. South Plantation High to get to the state finals... was also a member of the volleyball and softball teams all four years of high school... ended her senior volleyball season with 220 digs and 15 kills, earning team MVP honors... hit .565 her senior softball season, earning her third consecutive team MVP honor.
Personal: Born Feb. 22, 1989, in San Jose, Costa Rica... parents are Maritza and Jose Gamboa... has two younger brothers, (Mario, 10 and Pablo, 3) and a younger sister (Maria, 13)... majoring in physical therapy... played club soccer for Asociacion Deportivo Arenal winning national titles from 2004-07... future ambition is to be a physical therapist and be able to support her family... favorite food is Chimichangas.
