Jeff Dennis returned to his roots in August of 2021 as he moved back into the role of assistant coach for the men's golf program. Dennis spent the previous year and a half serving as an assistant director in the UNF Athletic Development department.
A former standout men's golfer for the Ospreys from 2005-2009, Dennis first joined the UNF athletic department as an assistant coach for men's golf in August 2016 after playing professional golf for six years.
As an assistant coach at UNF, he has helped produce 11 tournament titles, including three ASUN Championships, five NCAA regional berths, three NCAA Championship team berths and one NCAA Championship individual qualifier. He also has assisted in securing 12 individual medalist crown winners, as well as two individual ASUN Champions, 15Â All-ASUN selections, three ASUN Freshmen of the Year, and three ASUN Golfers of the Year.
A successful member of the PGA Tour Canada, Dennis reached Top 25 ranking on the Tour in 2014 and also finished runner-up in the National Capital Open that season. He played in all 46 events during his collegiate career and was the first and still the only UNF golfer to qualify for NCAA Regional play as an individual (2007).
A three-time All-ASUN (second team) selection during his career with the Ospreys, Dennis also earned the ASUN Freshman of the Year in 2005-06. He twice captured ASUN All-Tournament honors and also garnered ASUN Academic Honor Roll distinction as a senior. Dennis was named UNF’s Male Athlete of the Year as a sophomore in 2006-07.
Dennis, who earned his bachelor’s degree in communications from UNF in 2010,  finished his collegiate career with a stroke average of 73.85 and still ranks among the all-time career leaders at UNF in several categories including: Top 25 Finishes (T-3rd, 27), Rounds under Par (8th, 36), Rounds in the 60s (T-4th, 16).
A native of Parkland, Fla., Dennis was a decorated prep golfer at North Broward Prep and captured the 2006 Florida State Amateur crown.
Dennis is married to the former Terri Wilson, and the couple have two daughters, Quinn and Sawyer.
