Biography

2019 (Senior)
  • Posted a series of career bests as a senior, turning in the best numbers of tenure in: ERA (2.86), appearances (23), games started (two), saves (six), innings pitched (34.2) and strikeouts (42).
  • Helped solidify UNF’s bullpen in middle-to-late relief while also serving as a closer.
  • Earned the save with one inning of scoreless ball in UNF’s 5-4 season-opening win against Missouri February 15.
  • Picked up the save with 1.1 scoreless innings in a 7-4 win against Fordham February 23.
  • Garnered wins against FAU (February 27) and FGCU (March 24).
  • Also nabbed saves against Western Michigan (March 9), FGCU (March 22), Jacksonville (April 5), and NJIT (April 14).
  • Made his first-career start March 6 at Florida State, fanning a career-high six batters as the Osprey arms set a UNF DI single game record for strikeouts (17).
  • Made the second start of his career in a 7-2 win against USF March 19, fanning five in 4.0 innings of scoreless baseball.

  • His aunt, Carling Bassett, also played professional tennis
