Juniors: Placed fifth in 2005 at Mundial tournament and 10th at Sulamericano tournament… finished 10th in 2006 at Nationals-Brazil and 10th in 2007 at Unimed Pro tournament … began playing competitive tennis at the age of eight.
Personal: Born on March 25, 1989 in Joinville, Santa Catarina, Brazil … daughter of Marino Berkenbrock and Maria Simei Pieper … has three younger sisters Liane, Enila and Gabriella … majoring in business … lists her family as what keeps her going on a bad day, and names competing at world championships as her biggest sports thrill.
