JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida Men's Basketball Head Coach Bobby Kennen announced the addition of Assistant Coach Zack Freesman on Tuesday.Â
Â
"We're extremely excited to welcome Zack, Jill and Amelia home," Kennen said. "I first met Zack as a high school senior. Immediately, he articulated his dream of becoming a Division I coach, in addition to his plans for doing so. Zack's actions have matched his vision, and he has worked tirelessly to make his dream our reality. He served our program as a student assistant, winning two ASUN Conference Championships along the way. Since then, he has amassed a wealth of experience across many of the best basketball conferences in the country, in addition to serving highly successful head coaches and programs. His personal qualities as well as his professional skills will benefit our program tremendously."
Â
"I'm super grateful to Coach Kennen for this opportunity to return home," Freesman added. "The University of North Florida is a special place to my wife Jillian and I, and we couldn't be more excited to serve our alma mater. I'll work tirelessly to build upon our winning tradition at North Florida and help return our program to the national stage."
