Erickson Leads Men's Golf Through Round One At The Hayt

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Redshirt sophomore Danny Erickson led North Florida Men's Golf through round one of The Hayt Collegiate at Sawgrass Country Club on Saturday.
Erickson carded a team-high five birdies to sit at 1-under and tied for 26th on the individual leaderboard through the initial 18 holes. Erickson notched a 3-under 33 score through the front nine holes.
Redshirt junior Filippo Serra posted a 1-under 35 score through the back nine hole to place 50th. Graduate student Laurens Schulze-Doering recorded four birdies, which included three birdies after the turn on holes 10, 11 and 15.
North Florida continues The Hayt, one of the nation's most prestigious collegiate tournaments, with round two at Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Vedra, Fla. on Sunday.
