Erickson Leads Men's Golf Through Round One At The Hayt

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Redshirt sophomore Danny Erickson led North Florida Men's Golf through round one of The Hayt Collegiate at Sawgrass Country Club on Saturday.

Erickson carded a team-high five birdies to sit at one-under and tied for 26th on the individual leaderboard through the first 18 holes. Erickson notched a three-under 33 card through the front nine.

Redshirt junior Filippo Serra posted a one-under 35 score through the back nine to place 50th on the initial day of play. Graduate student Laurens Schulze-Doering recorded four birdies, three after the turn on holes 10, 11 and 15.

North Florida continues The Hayt, one of the nation's most prestigious collegiate tournaments, with round two at Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Vedra, Fla. on Sunday.
