JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida Men's Tennis picked up a 4-3 win over South Carolina State at UNF Tennis Complex on Sunday afternoon to improve to 5-0 at home.

Sophomore Jean Deloziere and sophomore Joao Portugal picked up a dominate win on court three, 6-1, to begin doubles play.

After falling behind 4-1 in doubles, freshman Aron Major and sophomore Youssef Labbene battled back to grab a 7-5 win on court two and clinch the doubles point for the Ospreys.

To begin singles action, South Carolina State would pick up a win on court five to tie the match at one. Freshman Kyle Piqueras would pick up a 7-5, 6-2 win on court four to put the Ospreys ahead 2-1. The Bulldogs answered back with wins on court three and court one to grab a 3-1 advantage.

Major answered back with a win on court six, 7-6, 6-4 to even the match at 3-3. He remains unbeaten in singles play with a 5-0 mark.

After dropping his first set 2-6, Labbene would win his next two sets 7-5, 7-5 to clinch the match for North Florida.

North Florida will host a doubleheader against UTSA at 10 a.m. and Millennia Atlantic at 3:30 p.m. at UNF Tennis Complex on Friday, Feb. 27.
