Erickson Leads Ospreys Through Final Round at Gator Invitational

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - North Florida men's golf finished out its weekend with a slightly extended final day at the Gator Invitational hosted by Florida on Sunday afternoon.

The Ospreys played the final few holes of the second round before continuing with the final 18 holes. Danny Erickson placed as the top UNF scorer with a 2-over 212 combined score in 21st overall.

JP [Parr] and Laurens [Schulze-Doering] have too much experience to post scores like that. We have some time before The Hayt and have to look to see if we need to change some stuff up. ROUND REFLECTIONS

Erickson carded a pair of birdies and 14 pars to shoot an even-par day on his way to 2-over on the weekend.
The redshirt sophomore remained in the top 10 for average score on par-five holes at 4-under (4.56).
Luke Balaskiewicz joined Erickson as the team leaders for birdies with eight total for a 12-over 222 finish.
Filippo Serra recorded three birdies on the front nine of the course to finish his final round at 3-over 73.
Laurens Schulze-Doering shared the team lead for pars with 36 total with Erickson.
He was one of 18 players in the field to score an eagle through three rounds of play.
Jean-Philippe Parr rounded out the Osprey starting lineup to cap off the Gator Invitational.
The Ospreys were one of nine teams in the field that had a player score an eagle.
On top of the eagle from Schulze-Doering, UNF ended the tournament weekend totaling 32 birdies and 156 pars.
