
Pair of Ospreys Sit in Top 30 Overall at Puerto Rico Classic

RIO GRANDE, P.R. - North Florida women's golf played two rounds in its annual appearance at the Puerto Rico Classic hosted by Purdue on Sunday afternoon.
Kaitlyn Schroeder and Helen Zhou were the leaders for UNF combining for 14 total birdies over the first two rounds to each have a combined score under par. Schroeder is 3-under 141 combined with a top-20 mark on the player's leaderboard, while Zhou is right behind at 2-under 142 in 30th overall.
Due to expected inclement weather early this week, the Ospreys pushed through both the first and second rounds of the Puerto Rico Classic. It was originally scheduled for the tournament to be played 18 holes per day starting with the first round on Sunday.

ROUND REFLECTIONS
- Schroeder shot the best round from an Osprey on the day at 3-under 69 in the opening round.
- She also leads the team in total birdies with eight, which includes four in each round played.
- Zhou played her best of the day late with a 2-under 70 second round score.
- The redshirt senior is top 10 overall in total pars and is the team leader in pars with 27 total.
