
Zhou, Schroeder Led Ospreys to Ninth at Puerto Rico Classic

RIO GRANDE, P.R. - North Florida women's golf moved up in the team leaderboard with a strong finish of ninth as a team during the final round of the Puerto Rico Classic hosted by Purdue on Monday afternoon.
The Ospreys had great performances over the extended weekend from their upperclassmen, as both Helen Zhou and Kaitlyn Schroeder scored 3-under 213 to place in the top 15 overall. Schroeder had the great start early with a 3-under 69 score in the opening round, while Zhou finished strong with back-to-back rounds under par.
Brianna Castaldi had the best round of the day in Puerto Rico, as she joins Zhou with a score under par at 2-under 70. The junior tallied six birdies to finish out the tournament for the Ospreys, as Zhou was closely behind with five birdies at 1-under 71, including four in her last nine holes.

ROUND REFLECTIONS
- Zhou took a strong final nine holes and turned it into the best finish of her collegiate career and fourth top-25 finish overall.
- Her 3-under 213 combined score also beats out her previous career-low mark by nine strokes from the 2025 Valspar Augusta Invitational.
- Schroeder matched Zhou's 3-under 213 score, while also leading the team in pars with 37 total.
- The redshirt junior also held a top-six average score on par-four holes (3-under).
- Castaldi completed the tournament as the leader on the team in birdies with 13 total after scoring six on Monday.
- Mohea Mansbendel added four birdies of her own for a top-nine mark on average score for par-three holes (2-under).
- Braydn Smith wrapped up the tournament for the Ospreys shooting 4-over 76 in the final round.
- The Ospreys ranked third overall in birdies with 51 total, trailing only Arkansas and Vanderbilt who finished first and second.
