COLUMBIA, S.C. – North Florida Men's Soccer shutout South Carolina, 2-0, on the road at Eugene E. Stone III Stadium on Tuesday night.
North Florida has now won three-straight matches and improves to 4-3 on the season.
Redshirt junior goalkeeper
Luciano Natoli recorded a pair of saves and played the full time in his seventh-straight match with his third clean sheet of the season and his second in the last three matches. It marked the seventh-career shutout for Natoli.
North Florida has outscored its opponents 11-1 over its last three matches.
North Florida struck first in the 25th minute when sophomore forward
Kaiss Mansouri received a pass down the right side of the final third from junior defender
Paul Schacherer and then proceeded to make a play on the ball in the goal area that found the back of the net and made it 1-0.
Redshirt senior forward
Luc Granitur notched his third goal in the last four matches and his second-straight match with a strike from right inside the 18-yard frame to extend the lead to 2-0 in the 69th minute. It marked the 10th career goal for Granitur.
