Men's Soccer Defeats South Carolina, 2-0

COLUMBIA, S.C. – North Florida Men's Soccer shutout South Carolina, 2-0, on the road at Eugene E. Stone III Stadium on Tuesday night. 

North Florida has now won three-straight matches and improves to 4-3 on the season. 
 
Redshirt junior goalkeeper Luciano Natoli recorded a pair of saves and played the full time in his seventh-straight match with his third clean sheet of the season and his second in the last three matches. It marked the seventh-career shutout for Natoli. 

North Florida has outscored its opponents 11-1 over its last three matches. 
 
North Florida struck first in the 25th minute when sophomore forward Kaiss Mansouri received a pass down the right side of the final third from junior defender Paul Schacherer and then proceeded to make a play on the ball in the goal area that found the back of the net and made it 1-0. 
 
Redshirt senior forward Luc Granitur notched his third goal in the last four matches and his second-straight match with a strike from right inside the 18-yard frame to extend the lead to 2-0 in the 69th minute. It marked the 10th career goal for Granitur. 
 
North Florida extends its win streak to three matches, it first three-match win streak since 2016. Overall, 18 Ospreys logged time. In addition to Natoli, junior midfielder Tyler Prebenda, senior defender Alex Barnett, senior defender Jaylen Yearwood and sophomore midfielder Rafa Rios all played the full time. 
 
North Florida closes out three-match road trip when it travels to Macon, Ga. to battle Mercer on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. at Betts Stadium.
