JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – For the sixth consecutive year, North Florida Athletics eclipsed a record for total dollars raised with an amount of $856, 276 behind the support of 1,810 donors on its annual Giving Day.Â
Â
"We're so incredibly thankful to Osprey Nation, who stepped up and achieved another Giving Day record," Director of Athletics Nick Morrow said. "The support from the 1,810 donors was incredible and I'm so appreciative of their generosity toward our pursuit of athletic and academic excellence at a higher level than ever before. These record-breaking numbers have a tremendous impact on the success of our 19 teams and 320 student-athletes. Go Ospreys!"
Â
North Florida Athletics accounted for 40 percent of the donors and 36 percent of the dollars raised with the largest collection in each mark from the overall 2025 Giving Day total of $2,407,024 and 4,513 donors. Both totals marked the University of North Florida's largest single day of fundraising.Â
Â
The total amount of $856,276 raised by North Florida Athletics was a $261,133.68 increase compared to 2024. For the first time on Giving Day, North Florida Athletics had a 100 percent staff participation. Volleyball accounted for the largest donor count at 333 donors and amount raised at $46,936 for the second-consecutive year. Men's Soccer experienced the greatest increase in donor count with a substantial rise of 137 donors - 74 in 2024 to 211 in 2025.Â
Â
The total donor count was a 1,911 percent increase from 2019, in addition to a 18,279 percent increase in dollars raised from that same year.Â
Â
"Thank you to everyone who made history with us on Giving Day," Senior Associate A.D. of Development Matthew Lisiewski added. "Your generosity and support helped North Florida Athletics achieve a record-breaking milestone, and together, we've set a new standard of excellence. This achievement wouldn't have been possible without you. Your belief in our vision is the true catalyst for our success. North Florida Athletics remains committed to our mission of providing a first-class student-athlete experience, and your support will directly enhance that mission. Together, we're not just supporting student-athletes; we're investing in their growth, development and future success."
Â
This year's effort was centered around the mission to support the holistic student-athlete experience from athletic competition to travel, academics, nutrition, rehabilitation and more. Due to the work of the North Florida Athletics Development staff and the efforts of each program, North Florida Athletics finished with the most donors and dollars raised compared to all colleges and units across the entire institution.Â
