LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. – No. 16 North Florida beach volleyball fell in hard-fought matches with No. 11 Long Beach State and No. 17 Hawaii to conclude action at The Best of the West tournament in Laguna Beach, Calif on Sunday.Â

North Florida dropped its dual to Long Beach State, 4-1, and battled No. 17 Hawaii, 3-2, in back-and-forth action.Â

The senior tandem of Andrea Da Silva and Hayden Wooldridge claimed the four line in straight sets against No. 11 Long Beach State, 21-18, 21-15, for their fifth pair win this season.Â

Senior Emily Guenter and sophomore Anne Marie Hardouin turned in a 21-17, 22-20 win at the five line to record the initial point against No. 17 Hawaii. Sophomore Cameron Humphries and senior Taylor Pierce added a 21-17, 21-17 win at the three line.Â

North Florida returns home to host Mercer and Jacksonville for the North Florida Invite on April 11 and 12 at The Cooper Beach Volleyball Complex. North Florida will honor four seniors prior to its dual with Mercer on Saturday.
