JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida Athletics' eighth-annual Blue & Gray Bash, which was held for the second time ever at UNF Arena, generated another record year of fundraising numbers thanks to the generosity of over 200 attendees and 164 registered bidders during the event held earlier this month.
All told, over $147,356 was raised in gross revenue and $83,930 in net revenue from those that participated, good for over a $2,000 increase from last year and the second-highest net revenue since the Blue & Gray Bash's inception in 2017. Each year since then, North Florida has seen an increase in revenue and attendance in the event since 2017.
"Thank you to our alums, donors, and friends for joining us at the Blue and Gray Bash. Your presence and generous support mean the world to our UNF athletic community," said Matthew Lisiewski, Senior Associate AD of Development. "Because of you, our student-athletes are empowered to chase their goals—on the field, in the classroom, and beyond. Together, we're building a legacy of excellence."
The eighth edition of the Blue & Gray Bash was themed "Casino Night" with the event being held at the UNF Arena. The event featured casino tables, wine wall sponsored by Jostens, auction, 360 photo booth, the SuperNash Bros cover band, paddle raise and sit-down dinner from The Local, as well as VIP in the suite with the production sponsored by Sight and Sound.
Over 30 UNF student-athletes were involved this year during the live auction, as they served the food to attendees and were involved in the programming to help raise funds for student-athlete scholarships. The Blue & Gray Bash is also supplemented by the fundraising efforts made by the University of North Florida's Giving Day that was earlier this month as well.
