RALEIGH, N.C. – North Florida track and field's sixth year Aidan O'Gorman and senior Seth Martinez each clocked personal-best times in the men's 10K at the Raleigh Relays on Thursday evening held at the Paul Derr Track and Field Facility in Raleigh, N.C.

O'Gorman posted a program-record and personal-best mark of 28:18.59, over a 40-second improvement compared to his previous-best program-record mark, in section three to place third overall. Martinez added his personal-best time at 29:08.92 in section one to finish 64th.

"10,000-meter guys crushed it in Raleigh. Aidan [O'Gorman] ran an amazing race," said head coach Jeff Pigg. "He stayed poised and executed a perfect plan to land third on the NCAA list. He is very fit and it's been an awesome journey to this point in the season, but the main focus is in the lies in weeks ahead."

"Seth [Martinez] also ran amazing. He won the ASUN last year in a time that was a minute slower than what he ran tonight," continued Pigg. "It was a huge PR. It is a big leap and he did everything right to put himself physically and mentally ready for tonight. These guys run 90-100 miles per week and it is a huge commitment year-round to be a great long distance runner. I'm thrilled to see great numbers in the results column for them."

North Florida will send units to both the Florida Relays and Embry-Riddle Running Elements Classic in a split weekend next Friday and Saturday, Apr. 4-5.
