GAINESVILLE, Fla. - North Florida softball fell in its season-opening game against No. 2 Florida on Thursday evening.
The Ospreys were down early in the first few innings after a pair of home runs were made by the Gators. Second Team All-ASUN selection
Hadlee Reichert, along with
Mackenzie Woods, had a pair of singles in the game, but were left in scoring position in the second inning.
Taylor Cook started the game in her first collegiate appearance on the road against the SEC powerhouse.
Macie Hunolt also made her collegiate debut in the circle, while the trio transfer class of
Lauren Brock,
Lauren Bevis and
Kalyn McCarthy all made their Osprey debuts in the starting lineup.
