Baseball Wins 10-2, Completes Sweep Of Brown

Ospreys Win Sixth Consecutive Game
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -Â 15 hits and 13 strikeouts on the mound helped lead North Florida to a 10-2 win and series sweep against Brown Sunday from Harmon Stadium.
Trailing 1-0, North Florida (6-2) responded in the bottom of the first. Nick Monile and Carter White smacked back-to-back singles. With runners at first and second, Connor Moore reached on an infield single. The throw to first went over the first baseman's head and Monile scored. Two batters later, Cade Bush rolled a ground ball and scored White to go up 2-1.
Leading 2-1, Jabin Bates walked with two outs in the third. Bush reached on an error as the Ospreys put two runners on. With runners at first and second, Mitchell Collins smoked a two-run double to extend the Osprey lead. He scored later in the innings as UNF went up 5-1.
The Bears (0-4) did not go quietly though. DJ Dillehay singled and Brandon Chang walked to start the fourth. Following back-to-back outs, Conor Cooke cracked an RBI double, which made it 5-2.
UNF responded in the bottom of the inning. Drew Leinenbach singled to lead off the fourth. Following a flyout, White doubled home Leinenbach. Two batters later, Bates brought home White on another RBI double. Bush and Collins followed the double with a pair of walks to load the bases. With bases full of 'Spreys, Brady Browning looped an infield RBI single, driving home the eighth run of the game.Â
Up 8-2 in the sixth, Bush (2) clobbered his second home run of the season to go up 9-2.
The Ospreys tacked on one more run. Leinenbach doubled to start the inning. He scored two batters later on a fielder's choice and error to give North Florida an even ten runs on the day.
Brown opened the scoring in the top of the first. With two outs, Mika Petersen was hit by a pitch. He swiped second and scored on an RBI single from Dillehay.Â
