Four Ospreys Placed at CSCAA Open Water Championship

SARASOTA, Fla. – North Florida swimming put up great results at the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Open Water Championship hosted at Nathan Benderson Park on Saturday afternoon.
Grace Burton, Aydan Horrigan, Annalia Jansons and Paige Munna all competed for the Ospreys in the 5k race. It was the first time in seven years traveling for the CSCAA Open Water Championship with their last appearance occurring in 2018.
"This was great experience for our athletes. It was a very tough course," Head Coach Ian Coffey stated. "We're very pleased with the results today and we look forward to coming back next year."
Burton earned 70th overall and 53rd among NCAA D-I athletes to lead the UNF pack at 1:03:28.0. Horrigan followed closely behind in 78th (60th - D-I), along with Jansons placing 80th (61st - D-I) and Munna placing 81st (62nd - D-I).
The Ospreys resume their season with a dual meet against Villanova on Wednesday, Jan. 7, set for 4 p.m., at the UNF Competition Pool Complex.
