Men's Basketball Signs Asa Kohn

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida Men's Basketball Head Coach Bobby Kennen has announced Wednesday the signing of Asa Kohn, a 6-foot-4 combo guard out of Hagerty High School in Oviedo, Fla.

"We are excited to welcome Asa Kohn and his family into our program," Kennen said. "Basketball is the Kohn family business. Asa is a driven competitor who will thrive at North Florida. He is an elite shooter with unlimited range and is highly skilled. Asa is invested in his growth on and off the court and we are thrilled to help guide him in his path. We are thrilled he has chosen to call North Florida home."

He has averaged 19.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.3 assists on 55.0 percent from the field, 49.0 percent from three and 80.0 percent from the free-throw line at Hagerty.

Kohn eclipsed 1,000 career points in his junior season at Hagerty. Kohn played club for TNBA South on the Under Armour Circuit. He is ranked as a top-40 prospect and top-10 combo guard in the state of Florida by Prep Hoops.
