Men's Tennis Drops Home Match To Gardner-Webb

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida men's tennis (1-3) dropped an early-afternoon match in its return home to Gardner-Webb (1-1) at home on Monday afternoon at UNF Tennis Complex.
The Ospreys fell behind quickly after dropping courts two and three in doubles play and fell into a 1-0 deficit. They got started on the right foot in singles play, as sophomore Chase Healey stepped in and won his match in a clean sweep on court six for the Ospreys.
UNF continued to battle throughout the afternoon with a couple matches going to a third set. Unfortunately, these efforts were not enough to get it done on the day, as the Bulldogs were too much to handle.
North Florida will hit the road next, as they travel to Seattle, Wash., to for a three-match weekend from Jan. 31-Feb. 2.
