
Women's Tennis Announces Full 2024-25 Schedule

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's tennis releases its full slate for the 2024-25 season with five fall tournaments, including the UNF Home Invite from Nov. 1-3, along with 20 spring matches on Wednesday afternoon.
The Ospreys will be set to start its season this weekend at the UNC Asheville from Sept. 14-15 followed with three more tourneys before its home invite to cap off the fall. The spring season will start against Florida on Jan. 19, and continues against nine conference opponents before the ASUN Championship tournament from Apr. 18-20.
"With four new players and big goals for our program, I look forward to our big non-conference schedule playing at least three top 50 programs," said head coach Catherine Dunagan. "This weekend begins the journey towards winning a championship in the spring, and we are excited to compete."

Fall Tournament Season
North Florida begins its journey towards another successful season this upcoming weekend at the Emily McNall Classic from Sept. 14-15. It will be the Osprey debuts for four newcomers which include Lauren Barendse, Gabby Goyins, Aryana Bartlett and Nicole Alfaro Solis.
On Sept. 27-29, UNF continues with its annual visit to the Bedford Cup, which will be hosted by FGCU this season. Immediately afterwards, they will make their way up to Macon, Ga., for the Mercer Gridiron Classic from Oct. 4-6.
The ITA Regionals will be its last road stop in a four-day event hosted by Georgia Tech from Oct. 10-13. The fall season comes to a close for the Ospreys at the UNF Fall Invite from Nov. 1-3.
Spring Season-Opening Road Trip
The Ospreys begin its spring season with six consecutive matches on the road, starting with one of its two Power Four opponents, Florida, on Jan. 19. They will make their way to Furman and Charleston Southern the weekend of Jan. 24-26.
The road trip continues against another in-state opponent in Florida Atlantic on Feb. 1. The final stops will be in the state of Alabama, as UNF will face UAB on Feb. 8, followed by another Power Four opponent in Auburn the next day on Feb. 9.
Home Debut and Final Non-Conference Stops
After six road matches, UNF finally makes it back home to face an old conference rival, Kennesaw State, as well as USF, from Feb. 14-16. Their final non-conference road stops will take place against FIU and North Texas from Feb. 21-22.
In the middle of a three-match home stand, the Ospreys will face Presbyterian at home on Mar. 11 to close out the non-conference slate. It will be a week after UNF opens ASUN play at home against Bellarmine.
Atlantic Sun Play
Conference competition for the Ospreys kicks off against the Knights on Mar. 4, followed with its match against then Blue Hose on Mar. 11, and back into ASUN play against Queens on Mar. 14. It will be the longest home stretch for the team on the season over the span of 10 days.
A quick road trip will be made against Eastern Kentucky on Mar. 16, along with a matchup back at home against Austin Peay on Mar. 23. UNF will then see Central Arkansas in another away meet on Mar. 28, before getting back-to-back home matches against rivals FGCU and Stetson from Apr. 4-6.
The conference slate ends the weekend of Apr. 11-13 with trips up to Lipscomb and North Alabama to close out the regular season. The 2025 Atlantic Sun Championship tournament will once again be hosted at North Florida at the UNF Tennis Complex from Apr. 18-20 to decide the conference's champion and the automatic berth for the NCAA Tournament.
