O'Gorman Competes in Top 20 of U.S. Olympic Trials

Placed 20th in 10,000m Final Race at Hayward Field
EUGENE, Oreg. - Aidan O'Gorman represented North Florida track & field on a national stage with his performance in the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials late Friday evening.
O'Gorman was one of 24 qualifiers, as well as one of 10 collegiate athletes, to race in the final qualifier for the 10,000m race at the Olympic Team Trials for the United States. He finished in 20th overall with a time of 29:55.42 as the seventh-best college runner in the event.
"Aidan [O'Gorman] had a great year and this experience will be such a boost as we head into his senior year," said head coach Jeff Pigg. "He is the best at living clean and working hard, which is the cornerstone of being a great distance runner. His drive is amazing and he is such a tough competitor. I am very proud of him."
The New Smyrna Beach, Fla., will go into the summer with head held high as one of the most accomplished athletes in program history with one year of eligibility left on the track. He looks to train and prepare for one final season with the Ospreys in 2024-25.
