Four Ospreys Honored on Senior Day against the Colonels
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida men's tennis (12-8) checked off another goal from their whiteboard by beating Queens (11-11), 6-1, to finish off its regular season conference play undefeated (8-0) on Sunday afternoon at UNF Tennis Complex.
The Ospreys grabbed another doubles point and used lines two and three to do so. Starting off first was line three of Andreas Scott and Breno Marques, who picked up their 13th win of the year in their 6-2 win. Soon after, line two of PJ Kotan and Juan Pablo Cenoz wrapped the doubles point up for the Ospreys with their 6-1 win.
UNF battled with some early struggles, as the Ospreys lost four of the first sets, and shortly after, dropped a singles court that tied the match at one. From that point on, UNF turned it around and won all five remaining singles courts. Putting the match to bed was Jonas Hartenstein, who won his match to go up 4-1 overall on the day. The rest of the courts were played out en-route to the Ospreys' victory.
UNF next travels down to Fort Myers, Fla., to defend their top overall seed in the ASUN Championship tournament. They will await their opponent from the 4v5 seeded match on Saturday, Apr. 20, at the FGCU Tennis Complex.
