Ospreys Continues Undefeated Season in ASUN Play
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida men's tennis (11-8) picks up its seventh regular season title in program history winning their ninth straight match to stay undefeated (7-0) in conference play with a 7-0 sweep over Eastern Kentucky (20-7) on Friday afternoon at UNF Tennis Complex.
The Ospreys claimed another doubles point on Friday, something they have managed to do in every conference game this season except one. UNF only needed two courts to get it done, as Jonas Hartenstein and Rodrigo Crespo started UNF off with a 6-3 win. The point was then wrapped up by line two of PJ Kotan and Juan Pablo Cenoz, who also won in 6-3 fashion.
Just like last match against Austin Peay, the Ospreys made clever work of singles play by winning five of the first six sets and 12 of the 13 overall sets played. Every UNF player brought home wins in the impressive all-around effort with five of the six singles matches being decided in straight set decisions.
The Ospreys stay home to wrap up the regular season on senior day with a matchup against Queens (11-10) on Sunday, April 14, set for 12 p.m., at the UNF Tennis Complex.
