Second Overtime Game Against Governors This Season
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - North Florida men's basketball (16-16, 9-7) fell short of a road upset bid in an overtime thriller against Austin Peay (18-14, 10-6) in the ASUN Championship Quarterfinals on Tuesday evening.
The Ospreys finished with five double-digit scorers and held a double-digit lead in the second half, but ultimately fell in its second overtime matchup of the season against the Governors. Nate Lliteras was the leading scorer with 21 points, followed with 19 points each from Chaz Lanier and Jah Nze.

First Half
Ospreys got off to a hot start scoring the first six points of the game behind a pair of baskets from Dorian James...Nze and Jake van der Heijden combined all 13 of the next points after to keep a one-possession game early...after a jumper from Lliteras, James scored another pair to go along with a Nze trey to extend the UNF lead to seven...Jaylen Smith hit another three for the Ospreys, followed by a score from Nze, to go into the half up one.
Second Half
Back-and-forth scoring started play out of the break starting with Lanier getting his first points of the game...a Lliteras three and Smith bucket in back-to-back possessions took the lead to six points...Lanier dropped his first three to take the lead up to nine for the Ospreys...UNF continued its hot run with another pair of scores from Lliteras and Smith to go up 11 points...Lanier and Nze put up the next 11 points for UNF to keep its distance over the Governors...with under two minutes remaining, Lliteras made a clutch three in the corner to bring the lead back to five...after back-and-forth free throws and quick scores, APSU made a game-tying layup with time expiring to force an extra five minutes.
Overtime
The Ospreys regained the lead in overtime with James hitting a three...Smith and Nze made three of four free throws to keep the advantage at one point...after a pair of scores from APSU, Lliteras drove for the layup to bring it back to a one-possession game...Oscar Berry made a three-pointer to cut it to one-point, but the Governors made both free throws and executed on a final defensive stop to eliminate the Ospreys from the ASUN Championship tournament.
