
Gabrelcik Earns Ninth Career Medalist Crown at Gator Invitational

Ospreys Finish as Team Runner-Up, Riley as Individual Runner-Up
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Nick Gabrelcik continues to shine this spring, as he won the ninth individual title of his collegiate career at the Gator Invitational hosted by Florida on Saturday afternoon.
North Florida men's golf also played excellent over the past two days with a runner-up finish over USF, FAU and UCF. Riley joined Gabrelcik as the first and second overall players at the tournament with the only sub-200 scores in the field.
The senior earned the second-lowest mark in the history of the Gator Invitational with his 13-under 197 score, while also carding a final round of 6-under 64. The No. 3-ranked player in the PGA Tour University rankings matched his career-best 54-hole score that occurred at the 2022 Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate.

ROUND REFLECTIONS
- Gabrelcik turned in eight birdies, including five birdies in a bogey-less back nine, to score 6-under 64 to clinch his second medalist crown of the season.
 - He scored in the 60s for all three rounds and improved his score through each round played.
 - Riley was right behind Gabrelcik on the leaderboard with a runner-up finish at 12-under 198.
 - The junior also had three rounds in the 60s, while putting up seven birdies during the final round.
 - He finished with the best average score on par-three holes (4-under), while Gabrelcik had the top average mark for par-four holes (7-under) and second-best for par-five holes (7-under).
 - The St. Johns, Fla., native also was top four for par-four average score (3-under) and top 10 par-five average score (5-under) as well.
 - Robbie Higgins was the lone Osprey to record an eagle with an even-par final round to place tied for 21st at 1-over 211 combined.
 - He joins Gabrelcik and Higgins, who were 1-2 for total birdies, in the top six, as they all combine for 48 total birdies.
 - Jason Duff and Davis Lee completed a successful weekend for the Ospreys with scores of 15-over 225 and 17-over 227 respectively.
 - Chase Carroll also played well as an unattached individual finishing tied for 45th overall at 8-over 218.
 - The Ospreys ended the tournament with 60 birdies to lead the entire field, while also notching 153 total pars.
 - UNF also was top three overall in par-four (15-over) and par-five (15-under) averages.
