Swimming Wraps Up 2024 at Gamecock Invite

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's swimming returns to the pool for the final meet of 2024 as the Ospreys are set to compete in the third annual Gamecock Invite from Nov. 20-22 at the University of South Carolina.

The field will consist of the University of North Carolina, UNCW, the University of Tampa, East Carolina, Vanderbilt, Milligan University, Carson-Newman University, Georgia Southern and South Carolina.

FROM THE STARTING BLOCK

The Gamecock Invite will have 10 swimmers per heat
A total of 40 swimmers will have the opportunity to swim in the evening finals
Time trials may be swum after each session at the discretion of the meet referee
There will be a 10 minute break after the first relays of each session and a 20 minute break before the last relay of each session
The finals will take place at 6 p.m. except for Friday, Nov. 22, they will take place at 4 p.m.
This will be the final meet of 2024 before the Ospreys host Georgia Southern for Senior Day on January 18

""We look forward to our mid-season meet every year. It's a point in the season to see where we are as a program and show what we can do against good competition. This year at the Gamecock Invite, we will be swimming against teams from the ACC, SEC, Sun Belt, and CAA. The objective is to swim fast in the morning sessions to earn a swim in the finals at night, to simulate a conference championship meet.
