Men's Tennis Dominates Opening Day of Mercer Gridiron Classic

Ospreys Win Five Singles Matches, Two Doubles Matches
MACON, Ga. - North Florida men's tennis kicked off its fall season with five singles wins and a pair of doubles victories at the Mercer Gridiron Classic hosted by Mercer on Friday afternoon.
The Ospreys were headlined by Jean Deloziere, who picked up a straight-set win in the Flight A1 bracket of the tournament. Lorenzo Messina and Bruno Vietri joined Deloziere with victories of their own in three sets each in the Flight A2 bracket.
Chase Healey was next up with a win in the B1 flight, while Spencer Dorosheff joined the sophomore in pulling out the sweep in the B2 flight. The day came to a successful end with a pair of doubles wins from Messina and Healey, as well as Deloziere and Vietri.
North Florida continues its weekend of tournament-style play in the Mercer Gridiron Classic on Saturday, Oct. 5.
