Ospreys Move To 2-0 For First Time Since 2021

SAN MARCOS, Tex. - North Florida women's tennis played their second state of Texas opponent in as many days, as the Ospreys were able to take down Texas State in convincing fashion in a score of 6-1 on Saturday afternoon.

Anabelle Davis and Amy Kaplan got the party started on court one, winning their doubles match, 6-1. Then, the pairing of Kendall Nash and Anslee Long were able to secure the doubles point for the Ospreys by winning on court two with a score of 6-3.

Davis and Kaplan continued to handle business in singles play, as did Alisa Lyshko and Jasmin Makela. The quartet all won points for UNF in two-set sweep fashion. Long got her first singles win of the year in a three-set thriller and ten-point tiebreak.

The Ospreys will return home to for its home opener to face Georgia Southern and Elon on from Jan. 26-28.
