Fekany, Hauth and Fogarty Tally Goals
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's soccer (1-0-0) improved to 5-0 in season openers under head coach Eric Faulconer as the Ospreys dismantled Air Force (0-1-0) in a 3-0 rout, August 17.Â
Goalkeepers Sarah Barrentine and Sofia Miliancano split the halves and helped contribute to a seventh clean sheet in the Osprey's last eight contests. The performance marked UNF's seventh-straight clean sheet on the Hodges Stadium pitch.
Sophomore Allie Fekany opened the scoring in the 28th minute after a beautiful long ball from Lauren Weiss put her through on goal.Â
Just 15 minutes later, freshman Avery Raimondo sent a ball into the box finding the feet of Sydney Hauth who worked it past goalkeeper Sydney Davis.
Liz Anne Fogarty put the game to bed in the 86th minute after she was brought down in the box to set up a flawless penalty kick goal.
All told the Ospreys sent 26 student-athletes into the match, while North Florida outshot Air Force, 15-8.Â
