Ospreys Post Second-Straight Shutout, Win Seventh-Straight Against USF
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida's winning streak against USF continued Tuesday night as the Ospreys (20-16) turned in their second-straight shutout in a dominant 10-0 run-rule win against South Florida (16-22) Tuesday, April 18.Â
It was UNF's seventh-straight win against USF as the Ospreys earned their 20th win on the year. Will Ohme tied a career-high with 4.1 innings pitched, fanning five while permitting just two hits.Â
Jakob Runnels started the game off with a three-run home run over the video board in left field, bringing him to a team-high 11 home runs as eight of the nine Ospreys in the lineup reached via a hit.

Behind the Line Score
- UNF jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first. Aidan Sweatt reached on an error, Austin Brinling singled through the left side and Jakob Runnels launched a three-run home run towards the pond beyond the left field fence.
- North Florida went for a hit parade in the third, getting an RBI single from Gabriel Esquivel and Cherokee Nichols. Sweatt capped the scoring with a nice piece of hitting, slashing a two-RBI single through the right side.
- Esquivel came through again with an RBI single into left in the fourth.
- Nichols provided more two-out production, lacing a two-out RBI to left center to score Cade Reich and Gabriel Esquivel in the 6th.
- Roca finished the game off with 2.2 scoreless as UNF spun its second-straight shutout.
