
Five-Homer Night Fuels Baseball’s Series-Opening Win Against Fordham

UNF notched five home runs for the second time this season and just the seventh time in UNF history, tying the DI-era record for home runs in a game. Dallen Leach and Gabriel Esquivel homered twice apiece, their first multi-home run games at UNF.
Esquivel, Peyton Sybrandt and Leach all homered in the fifth inning, marking the first time since 2018 that UNF has homered three times in the same inning. Additionally, UNF has had four-straight multi-home run games, the first time since 2006 that UNF has achieved that.

Behind the Line Score
- Aidan Sweatt opened the first with a single, Austin Brinling followed with a double and Esquivel hit a mammoth home run to left center, bouncing over Varsity Lane.
- Fordham (0-7) got on the board with a solo home run to the video board in left in the top of the second
- Holden settled in, fanning six through three frames
- A two-out double and single cut UNF's lead to 3-2 in the fourth
- Two-out production came up big for UNF in the fourth. Matthew Clements delivered a two-out RBI double to left center in his second-career at-bat at home. Sweatt followed with an RBI single and took second on a bobble in center. Brinling made Fordham pay for the miscue with an slashed RBI single to left.
- For the second time on the year, UNF hit back-to-back jacks when Esquivel homered off the top of the batting facility. Peyton Sybrandt clobbered a mistake deep into the trees over Varsity Lane.Â
- After Alex Lodise reached, Dallen Leach homered to left center, making it 10-3 UNF in the fifth.
- Leach wasn't done, sneaking a line drive three-run home run just over the fence and left fielder's outstretched glove in left, making it 13-3 Ospreys in the seventh.
- Fordham hit its third homer of the night in the eighth, a solo shot
- The Rams didn't go down quietly, hitting a solo home run and a two-RBI triple in the ninth before being retired for the evening.
