
Women's Golf Sees Improvement in Second Round of UCF Challenge

Scored 18 Strokes Better Than Opening Round
ORLANDO - North Florida women's golf continued to improve in its second round of play at the UCF Challenge on Monday afternoon at the Eagle Creek Golf Club.
They bettered their score by 18 strokes to move one spot up in the team rankings over No. 44 Miami (FL). All five players scored better in the second round than they did in the opening round with two players scoring under par.
Christin Eisenbeiss remains the team leader for the Ospreys hitting at even-par 72 in round two to find herself just outside the top 50 at 1-over 145 combined. Wyndom Burnett posted the best score for UNF on the second day with two birdies and an eagle leading to a 2-under 70 card.

ROUND REFLECTIONS
- Eisenbeiss notched two birdies and scored par on each of her last nine holes on her way to an even round.
- Burnett scored an eagle and two birdies, including one on the opening hole, to get the lowest UNF round of the spring thus far at 2-under 70.
- She also saw the biggest improvement from round one to round two, as she shot eight strokes better.
- Daniela Gonzalez shares a placement with Burnett after only have one hole worse than par with two birdies to be the second Osprey golfer under par at 1-under 71.
- Sarah Scott continued her Osprey team debut with a 1-over 73 score with three total birdies, including a pair of birdies on her last two holes of the day.
- Jessie Cai closed out the second round for UNF matching Scott's 1-over 73 after also carding an eagle on Monday.
- Cai sits at 27 total pars through two rounds, which lands her in the top 15 of the field.
- They also have 124 total pars as a squad, which is a top-five mark among the teams in Orlando.
- The Ospreys finished day two as one of two schools with multiple eagles and the only school to have multiple players score an eagle.
