Women’s Swimming Set for Gamecock Invite

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's swimming returns to the pool to compete in the Gamecock Invitational, Nov. 15-17 at the University of South Carolina. The field will consist of South Carolina, UNCW, Gardner-Webb, Georgia Southern, Vanderbilt, the University of Tampa and Milligan University.

FROM THE STARTING BLOCK

Each day will start with preliminaries at 10 a.m. and the finals taking place at 6 p.m. except for Friday, Nov. 17, the finals will take place at 4 p.m.
The Ospreys will see Georgia Southern for the third time this season, most recently claiming a 149-113 victory, Oct. 14
The 800-yard freestyle relay will be swam for the first time this competition season
The Ospreys enter the meet off the back of a victory over Florida Southern at the FSU Quad Meet, Oct. 20
The Gamecock Invite will have ten swimmers per heat
A total of 40 swimmers will have the opportunity to compete in the evening finals
Time trials can take place at any time at the discretion of the meet referee

"The Gamecock Invite is the perfect time to see where we are in the season. There will be a lot of good programs at the meet and our goal is to get everyone to the finals at night. It's going to be very competitive and we are up for it. This will also prepare us for the conference championships with the three day trials/finals format". -- Head Coach Ian Coffey
