JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida swimming travels to Arkansas to open up the 2022-2023 season with a dual meet against the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Friday, September 23 at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Nine freshmen will be competing for the first time as Ospreys, while UNF sends 15 student-athletes all-told to the season opener.

The meet will be streamed on UALR Swimming's Facebook page. Live results will be available via the MeetMobile app.

FROM THE STARTING BLOCK

• This is the first ever meeting between North Florida and Little Rock 
• UALR's Donaghey Aquatic Center is a 25-yard pool.
• The Trojans took second in an eight-team meet during its season opener, finishing ahead of six non-Division I schools and behind Arkansas. 
• The meet will begin at 11 a.m. followed by a short break before resuming at 4 p.m. Times are Eastern
• Head coach Ian Coffey enters his 9th season at the helm
• Assistant coach Lindsey McKnight begins her first season with the Ospreys 
• UNF's 2022-23 roster features 13 true freshman, not including one transfer, along with 11 returners
• This is the first of three road competitions during the 2022 portion of the season.
• This is the first time UNF has opened the season on the road since the 2018 CSCAA Open Water hosted by Kansas.
