
FOUR-PEAT: Women's Golf Wins Fourth Consecutive UNF Collegiate

Second Team Tournament Title of the Season
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - No. 60-ranked North Florida women's golf claims the UNF Collegiate team title on their home course after scoring a final round of 288 to fend off No. 46 Furman and No. 49 North Texas on Tuesday afternoon at Jacksonville Golf & Country Club.
It is the fourth-straight year that the Ospreys have taken home the team title at the UNF Collegiate. It is also the second title they've won this season, as they brought home hardware at the Palmetto Intercollegiate earlier in the fall.
The Ospreys were one stroke shy of tying the best overall team score at the UNF Collegiate set at 864 by Old Dominion in 2018, while also being tied for best final round score by the winning team at 288 with Houston in 2016.
Dani Gonzalez placed third in the UNF Collegiate with the Ospreys' top score in the tournament at 5-under 211. It was the fourth top-10 finish for Gonzalez in her collegiate career and her first finish in the top 10 this season.

- Gonzalez's 5-under 211 score was the first time this season that she's completed 54 holes with an under par score, and the first time she's finished as the top Osprey scorer this season.
- She recorded at par or better in all three rounds this week and tied the top finish of her career at third place, which matches her placement at the 2021 First Coast Classic.
- She also had the third-best average score on par-four holes (3.97, 1-under) and a share of the most birdies in the tournament (13).
- Sara McKevitt put together three birdies and only one bogey for a 2-under 70 third round to close out the UNF Collegiate tied for 11th at 2-over 218.
- Jessie Cai matched McKevitt's 11th-place finish after her even-par final round to close her week of play at 2-over 218 combined as well.
- Mindy Herrick and Christin Eisenbeiss finished with scores of 10-over 226 and 12-over 228 respectively to close out the group.
- Sarah Scott tied for 72nd overall with a score of 19-over 235 as an unattached individual.
- The Ospreys were the only team to finish with three players in the top 11 spots and had the most combined scores under par between all five players with eight.
- UNF complete their home tournament with the top average score on par-four holes (4.10, 15-over), as well as recording the most birdies in the tournament (45).
The Ospreys have almost three weeks of rest before they head back out to play in the Chattanooga Invitational from Mar. 27-29 in Chattanooga, Tenn.
