Women's Golf Takes Lead After First Round of Chattanooga Classic

McKevitt & Eisenbeiss Sit In Top 10
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - North Florida women's golf put up a strong performance in the first round of play, as it holds the lead by two strokes at 6-over 294 at the Chattanooga Classic on Sunday afternoon.
Sara McKevitt and Christin Eisenbeiss helped lead the Ospreys to their first-place start after they both scored rounds of even-par that put them in the top 10 on the player's leaderboard. They will look to keep the momentum going in an effort to win back-to-back team titles to follow up their UNF Collegiate win from earlier this month.

- Eisenbeiss joins McKevitt at even-par in the first round to put them both for a share of sixth-place.
- Mindy Herrick is not far behind the Osprey leaders after her 2-over 74 day puts her tied for 17th.
- Both Eisenbeiss and Herrick share the top average par-five score (4.60, 2-under) after 18 holes.
- Daniela Gonzalez ends her round on Sunday tied for 35th at 4-over 76, while Jessie Cai scored 5-over 77 to place within the top 50.
- The Ospreys are one of two teams with two players placed in the top six and one of three teams with three players placed in the top 20 after the first round.
- UNF is in the top three for par-three (3.20, 5-over), par-four (4.08, 3-over) and par-five (5.12, 3-over) average scores, as well as tied for first for most birdies (13) and second for most pars (59).
North Florida will continue with the second round of the Chattanooga Classic starting Monday morning.
