Ospreys Never Trail, Jazz Bond Sets UNF DI-Era Points Record
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - North Florida women's basketball (13-16) never trailed, Jazz Bond set the UNF DI-era points record, Rhetta Moore reeled in 12 boards and the Ospreys put the clamps on Lipscomb (10-20) in a 60-42 ASUN Championship First Round win on the road Wednesday, March 2.
The Ospreys went on a monstrous 15-0 scoring run out of the gates in the fourth quarter, propelling North Florida to an 18-point win.
North Florida led for nearly 39 minutes of the game and had an advantage of up to 22. UNF got to the line 15 times, making 14, while 10 of the 11 Ospreys that suited up notched at least two points.
Jazz Bond put up her ninth double-double of the season, scoring 11 points to bring her to 1,574 for her career, good for first in UNF's DI-era. She passes UNF Hall of Famer, Brittany Kirkland, who had the previous mark at 1,571 points.

- First Quarter: UNF took an 8-point lead into the second quarter, holding the advantage for eight minutes and 44 seconds behind some stellar defense … UNF held Lipscomb to 21.4 percent shooting in the first frame, while outscoring Lipscomb, 9-0, in points off turnovers.
