JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The first step in pursuit of the 2022 ASUN Men's Basketball Championship crown has the Ospreys traveling to Lipscomb Tuesday, March 1. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. EST from Lipscomb's Allen Arena as the ASUN East Division fifth-seeded Ospreys meet the ASUN West Division fourth-seeded Bisons.

LAST TIME OUT (at Stetson - Feb. 26)

DeLAND, Fla. - Despite never leading in 45 minutes of basketball, Stetson (11-18, 5-11 ASUN)  managed to push North Florida men's basketball to overtime. But, in edition number two of UNF and Stetson in the extra period this season, it was the Ospreys (11-19, 7-9 ASUN) that came out on top in a 74-69 regular season-finale victory Saturday, Feb. 26.

-UNF and Lipscomb are meeting for the 36th time. 
-North Florida and Lipscomb played once this year, with the Bisons narrowly edging North Florida, 77-74, from the UNF Arena. 
-UNF is 8-10 in games played in Nashville. 
-North Florida does lead the all-time series, 18-17.
-Lipscomb and UNF last met in ASUN postseason play back in 2020, with Lipscomb winning in the semifinals on a last-second shot in Jacksonville.

Jadyn Parker set the UNF single game blocks record with 9 swats in UNF's overtime victory at Stetson Saturday, Feb. 26 ... his nine blocks broke the previous mark of 7, which he shared with Wajid Aminu and James Grimball.

In UNF's wins this season the Ospreys are holding opponents to 24.9 percent from beyond the arc ... North Florida held one of the best three-point shooting teams in Jacksonville State to just 3-for-19 earlier this season.

TOURNEY TIME
UNF is appearing in its 13th consecutive ASUN Championship ... the Ospreys are 11-11 all-time in ASUN Tourney play.

MILESTONE WATCH
Emmanuel Adedoyin is eyeing a few milestones ... he needs five more points to reach 500 and is eight three-pointers shy of 100 for his career.

SCOUTING REPORT | LIPSCOMB
-Lipscomb enters with a 13-18 overall mark and a 6-10 record in conference competition.
-The Bisons are coming off a regular-season finale win against Central Arkansas Feb. 26. 
-Lipscomb dropped 50 points in the second half against the Bears, allowing Lipscomb to notch the four seed in the ASUN West Division.
-The Bisons are paced by Ahsan Asadullah who has 12 double-doubles. 
-Sharpshooter Trae Benham scored a career-best 26 points in Lipscomb's last game. He's averaging 19.3 points per game over his last three appearances.
-Lipscomb comes into play as the league leader in defensive rebounds per game at 28.26, good for 16th in the nation.
-Lipscomb gets to the line with ease, leading the league with 614 trips to the free throw stripe.
-LU's 484 assists is good for 13th in the country.
