McKevitt and Gonzalez Top Ospreys After Round Two

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - North Florida women's golf finished the first two rounds of play tied for fourth with Cal Poly and Furman at 7-over 583 (289-294) at the The Show at Spanish Trail hosted by UNLV on Monday.

They sit tied with No. 43 Furman and ahead of No. 42 Washington in the standings of a 16-team field. Sara McKevitt and Daniela Gonzalez were the top scorers for the Ospreys with both scoring 2-over 146 (73-73) to be ranked in the top 25 going into the final round of play.

At the First Coast Classic, Liss Davalos and Sarah Scott put together solid days in their spring debuts for the Ospreys as individuals players.

- Sara McKevitt and Daniela Gonzalez combined for nine birdies on their way to identical 73-73 scores through the first two rounds to finish tied for 25th at 2-under 146 after the first day of play in Vegas.
- Christin Eisenbeiss finished with the top round for the Ospreys with a 2-under 70 in the first and currently sits tied for 34th at 3-over 147 in The Show.
- Mindy Herrick, who was awarded ASUN Female Golfer of the Week this past Wednesday, started out play with two solid rounds of 73 and 74 to finish 3-over 147 with Eisenbeiss tied for 34th.
- Jessie Cai recorded 7-over 151 on the day with four birdies total and sits just outside the top 50.
