Lyric Swann and Brianna Livingston Score in Double Figures
CORAL GABLES, Fla. - North Florida women's basketball (2-5) found offensive success early in the first quarter, but couldn't find its footing in the second half against Miami (7-3) in an 85-45 loss on Sunday afternoon at the Watsco Center.
The Ospreys held a three-point lead late in the first frame after a pair of buckets were made, including one on a foul from Emma Broermann. They couldn't stay on the same pace as the Hurricanes though as the hosts pulled away in the sixth meeting between the two teams.
Both Lyric Swann and Brianna Livingston scored in the double figures for UNF with 22 combined points between the two of them. Livingston also had three rebounds to her total, while Swann had a season-high six assists and two steals on the day.

First Half: The Ospreys got their first two points up with a feed to Broermann in the paint for two...L. Swann made back-to-back shots inside the arc to go up by three early against the Hurricanes...Livingston then made back-to-back field goals as well, but Miami went on a 9-0 run to end the quarter...UM continued their run in the second period before Livingston stopped the bleeding with a driving layup...L. Swann made a few moves on a Hurricanes defender to cut into the deficit with a mid-range jumper...Jaelyn Swann made late additions to the score before half to go into the break with the score at 45-23.
Second Half: Scoring was opened in the second half for UNF with a three from Elysa Wesolek...scoring was brought to a standstill in the third quarter with only seven combined points scored in the first six minutes of the second half...Maddie Millar made an appearance with a corner three, as well as an and-one bucket from Kaila Rougier, to close the third period...Livingston earned a pair of baskets in the fourth with two turnaround jumpers to cut into the Miami lead...J. Swann closed the half again with a made three, but it wasn't enough in the loss to the Hurricanes.

NOTES
- The Ospreys shot well despite the loss recording a field goal percentage of 45.5%.
- It's the third time this season that UNF has shot over 40%.
- Broermann set a career-high mark in steals with three total on the road.
- Along with scoring, L. Swann also lead the team in playing time with 36 minutes, which matches her season-high mark.Â
- Ospreys used the same starting lineup for the second-consecutive game.
- Third time that head coach Darrick Gibbs has faced Miami, where he served as an assistant coach for a decade.
- UNF and Miami both featured two of the 16 sets of twins on the same team in the NCAA this season.
- It was the second of four games against Power Five foes on the slate for this season.
