MIAMI, Fla. -- For the second straight match the North Florida women's soccer team played into overtime but against FIU on Thursday night the Ospreys earned the hard fought 1-0 victory on a goal from Thais Reiss.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The scoreless first half saw FIU start and finish with a flurry while the Ospreys controlled the run of play over the middle portion of the period
- In the second half, North Florida became much more aggressive on the offensive end, dominating possession and creating several quality scoring opportunities
- FIU netminder Ithaisa Vinoly was up the challenge, collecting five stops in the period and turning away a pair of late scoring threats from UNF with diving saves
- The Ospreys struck quickly in overtime as ASUN Player of the Year Thais Reiss tucked a flying volley just inside the right post | Emma Voigt got the scoring play started by taking the ball from an FIU player in the left corner and dribbling into the box where she dropped a short pass to Carmel Oliveira, who lofted a curling service across the front of the goal to a waiting Reiss
