- Another Sapp stop in the 51st minute on a driven shot allowed the game to remain tied at 0-0
- UF saw a scoring chance in the 57th minute just go wide after slamming into the side netting
- In the 58th minute, UNF leading scorer Thais Reiss slashed a shot on target but it was stopped by the Gator goalie
- Kendra Hoffman made a run midway through the second stanza and laced a shot from the top of the box that was punched away for the UF keeper in the 64th minute
- Florida eventually broke the tie in the 75th minute when Madison Alexander flipped a ball toward the box and Beata Olsson was able to get enough on a touch of the loose ball to slip it past the goal line
- Ospreys turned up the offensive pressure but Gators converted on a counter opportunity in the 86th minute as Alexander fed the ball up the left side to Maddy Rhodes who crossed the ball to the back post and found the foot of Olsson for the insurance goal

FAULCONERÂ TALES
"Proud of the effort tonight. Thought we had a good plan and our players executed it well. Florida has a lot of quality players and that extra bit of quality in their play was the difference in the late stages of the match. We have everything to play for going forward and we will be ready for our return to conference play on Sunday."
- Head coach Eric Faulconer
