JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - UNF men's tennis won doubles and carried that momentum into singles as the Ospreys (3-7) dispatched Furman, 6-1, Saturday, March 13.

UNF won at first and third doubles, both by a 6-3 result, giving the Ospreys the 1-0 lead heading into singles.

The Ospreys won the opening set of singles at five of six courts. Joe Ellis and PJ Kotan took slots six and five with the same score of 6-1, 6-3, giving UNF a large lead of 3-0.

Furman (4-7) rebounded to even things up at one set each on courts one, three and four. Matt Caroll persevered to clinch the match for the Ospreys, winning 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 at three singles.

Barton padded UNF's lead, making it 5-0 with a grinder of a win at the top slot against Ivan Mitric. Barton won the tiebreaker in set three, 7-2. Rodrigo Crespo completed UNF's singles wins for the day, making it 6-0 Ospreys thanks to a 7-5 win in set three.

Furman picked up its lone win at second slot, winning 7-6 (9-7), 7-6 (7-1).
