UNF Student-Athletes Tout 3.41 Department-Wide GPA

170 Student-Athletes Land on Dean’s List, Ospreys Earn 52 4.0’s
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A fall that saw individual and team championships also featured department-wide academic success as North Florida student-athletes across all teams combined to earn a 3.41 grade point average (GPA)Â as announced by the UNF Student-Athlete Center for Excellence (SACE).
To go with that mark, 170 UNF student-athletes earned dean's list recognition, with 52 achieving a 4.0 GPA in the classroom. The Ospreys' fall 2021 semester brings North Florida to 21-straight semesters with at least a 3.0 department-wide GPA, a testament to the consistency of the efforts of the student-athletes, professors and UNF staff.Â
A total of 15 of the UNF athletic programs reached at least a 3.00 GPA, with women's soccer pacing the department with a 3.73 team GPA. UNF women's soccer had 10 student-athletes record a 4.0 GPA, while seven did so on the softball team. Men's tennis led the men's programs for the second consecutive semester with a 3.58 GPA.Â
All-told, 187 student-athletes recorded a GPA between 3.0-3.9.
