HOOP SCOOP: Men's Basketball Hosts Trinity Baptist

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- UNF men's basketball looks to stay perfect at home and move to 4-0 at the UNF Arena when it hosts Trinity Baptist at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18.
 

LAST TIME OUT

Jose Placer lit up the scoreboard for 35 points, Jarius Hicklen chipped in with a clutch 14 and North Florida took care of Austin Peay, 91-84, Saturday, Dec. 11 from the UNF Arena.

SCOUTING REPORT | Trinity Baptist Eagles
-Trinity Baptist is coming off a 71-66 win against Ave Maria Dec. 15. Sam Battle scored a season-high 24 points, including seven in the final 3:13.
-The Eagles are 3-6 on the season and 3-8 if you include exhibition losses to Florida Coastal Prep and Jacksonville University. 
-TBC lost to UNF's rival, Jacksonville, Nov. 9 at Swisher Gymnasium, falling by 36 to the Dolphins. 
-Trinity Baptist competes in the NCCAA DII South Region against schools such as Bob Jones, Johnson Universty and Pensacola Christian.
-TBC is coached by John Jones in his 11th season. He also serves as the athletics director.
-The Eagles are scoring 63.7 points per game while permitting 72.3 a contest. 
-Sam Battle paces the squad with 11.5 points per game, while also leading the team in rebounding with seven per game.
