North Florida | 4-6-1
FGCU | 3-7-1
- FGCU had slightly more shots than UNF, 10-8, and both teams had five shots on goal throughout the match.
- Jovoney Brown led the Ospreys in shots on goal with two back-to-back attempts in the 40th minute.
- Goalkeeper Padraic Gilley had four saves in the game, with two occurring in the opening minutes.
- Junior Bendeguz Burka remains the team's leader in minutes and now has 11 straight games this season playing 86 minutes or more.
- Senior Cormac Begley recorded his 55th start for the Ospreys in his career, which ranks fifth in all-time starts by a player for UNF in Division I history.
"It was a pretty even game. Obviously we're disappointed with the results losing 1-0. There was a period of time about 25 minutes left where we had two really good looks and it looked like it was going to break for us, but we didn't take the chance. They played quickly, connected in that transition moment we we're concerned about, and took the goal. We were, unfortunately, unable to find the back of the net." -- head coach Derek Marinatos
The Ospreys will play again on Tuesday night against Florida Atlantic in a non-conference match at Hodges Stadium.
