Men's Golf Finishes 7th in Fall Season Finale

FIRST TEE — No. 42 North Florida had a disappointing final round in its final fall season event, the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational, slipping to seventh place in the final standings. Osprey sophomores Nick Gabrelcik and Robbie Higgins both posted Top 15 finishes in the event.

ROUND REFLECTIONS
- Sophomore Nick Gabrelcik carded the low round of the day for the Ospreys shooting a 1-over 73 en route to a tie for fifth place | Marked his best finish of the season and the 7th Top 5 of his career
- Fellow sophomore Robbie Higgins joined Gabrelcik in the Top 15, earning a T11 at even-par 216 following his final round 2-over 74
- Senior Cody Carroll finished T33 including a final round 75
- Senior Grant Sutliff and junior Davis Lee rounded out the Osprey lineup with scoresof 76 and both finished tied for 62nd
-Â North Florida posted 157 pars during the event with Gabrelcik collecting a tournament best 40
- The Ospreys netted 47 birdies led by 14 from Higgins, who shared the tournament high mark
- UNF paced the field in Par 5 scoring at 15-under (4.75 avg)
- Piercen Hunt of Illinois rallied with a final round 4-under 68 to claim the medalist crown with a 54-hole total of 7-under 209
CLUBHOUSE CHATTER
"Not the round we were looking for to end the fall. All in all the entire fall was a disappointment. We will finish the fall ranked about 50th, but this group is capable of much more. It is time to get way for awhile and refocus for the spring."
